This is the place to go!

Thrilling Amusement Park

In case you haven’t heard, Cedar Point is the Roller Coaster Capital of the World. With 18 roller coasters along with a park full of attractions to thrill guests of all ages (you’ll love the Peanuts Gang theming!), it’s hard to beat this amusement park.

Young kids will love the Snoopy bounce, as well as rides like Police Cars and Space Age, while families can enjoy options such as the Giant Wheel, Charlie Brown’s Wind-Up and Antique Cars.

Of course, thrill seekers will be blown away by the many record-breaking roller coasters at Cedar Point. The newest, Steel Vengeance is the world’s first hyper-hybrid, a mind-blowing ride that combines the elements of both a wooden and steel roller coaster with a 200-foot drop at 90 degrees. You also won’t want to miss Millennium Force, Valravn, and the original strata coaster, Top Thrill Dragster!

Don’t Miss the Waterpark!

The weather can get hot and humid in Ohio, so what better way to cool off than with a trip to a waterpark? Cedar Point Shores is spread across 18 acres with experiences for everyone in your family. Upgrade your experience by renting a standard or premium poolside cabana for your trip!

Hit Lakeside Landing for kid-sized slides, geysers and fountains for the younger crowd before searching for Lemmy, the mythical Lake Erie monster, at Lemmy’s Lagoon. To make a bigger splash, head to extreme slides like Lake Erie Nor’easter or Portside Plunge before making your way to Point Plummet, a four capsule drop slide.

Did We Mention the Beach?

Need a break from the lines and rides? No problem—Cedar Point is right on the Lake Erie shoreline. Let your cares melt away as you feel the sand beneath your feet while you listen to the sound of waves crashing at Cedar Point Beach.

Eager to get on the water? The Jet Express will take you on the scenic route to Lake Erie’s most popular islands or you can charter a boat to explore on your own.

Want to stay closer to shore? Rent some kayaks, Waverunners and/or paddle boards for a day of fun on the water. You can even go parasailing!

Major Cities to Explore

You may not have heard of Sandusky, where Cedar Point is located, but it’s a great area beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Erie. If you’re looking for something more metropolitan, you won’t have to go far. There are several big cities within a few hours’ drive where you can see the sights and check out the local scene.

Ohio’s state capital, Columbus, is just a little more than two hours south, Cleveland is an hour to the east and Cincinnati, where you’ll find Cedar Point’s sister park, King’s Island, is about four hours southwest. If you’ve never been, you’ll be awestruck by the beauty of this state, and if you want to venture beyond Ohio, Detroit, Michigan is just a few hours away.

Something for Everyone!

You’ll find something for everyone at Cedar Point, whether you’re thrill seekers, water park enthusiasts, or seeking some downtime at the beach. With ample options for great food within and around the parks and hotels, you won’t need to leave the area!

Of course, if you want to venture outside of Sandusky, you’ll find major cities within a few hours’ drive. Take your time to enjoy the drive through, Ohio, though. With its sprawling, picturesque landscapes and intriguing history, you might not ever want to leave!
